The launching ceremony of the Translation Oral History Project cum Conferment of the Titles of President Emeritus and Honorary President was held successfully at Hong Kong Baptist University on 10 December, 2022.
The Titles of President Emeritus and Honorary President were conferred respectively to Prof. Leo Tak-hung Chan and Mr. Foo-cheung Lo, JP, both of whom attended the event on site. The event also features a panel discussion between the eight honourable interviewees of the Translation Oral History Project, including (in alphabetical order) Prof. Nam-fung Chang, Prof. Serena Jin, Prof. John Minford (online), Prof. Joseph Poon, Prof. King-kui Sin (online), Mr. Chi-cheung Sung, Mr. Man-sang Tsang and Prof. Cheng-shu Yang (online), and their interviewers, Dr. Elsie Chan, Dr. Bo Li and Dr. Janice Pan of the Society. Prof. Stuart Christie and Prof. Mark Shuttleworth presented welcome and closing remarks respectively on behalf of Hong Kong Baptist University.
